Behind the Scenes at Brooks: Automotive Photography Class Shoots One-of-a-Kind Corvette

December 4, 2012

Harry Vamos, instructor of the Automotive Photography class at Brooks Institute, shares this dispatch from a recent class field trip:

“This last Tuesday, my Brooks Automotive Photography class and I went on our second field trip of the semester to South Bay Studios. SBS is a large studio complex in Long Beach, CA, owned by Rick Gamorra and managed by Dick Gray. They were gracious enough to provide us with a large studio and equipment, as well as a vehicle so that I could demonstrate to the students the basics of Studio Automotive Photography. We spent several hours setting up, lighting, and photographing a one-of-a-kind Corvette, Rick’s personal project vehicle developed by one of GM’s premier Corvette designers.”

Check out the images Harry captured of his students in action – looks like an amazing trip!
