Why did you choose to attend Brooks?
After attending Baylor University in Waco TX for 2 years, I was very familiar with the typical college structure. I had a passion for learning everything there was to know about telling stories, and I needed to be in a place where I was not only taught the basics, but was also able to be hands on, and use the newest technologies to help bring those stories to life.

Looking back, can you speak to a particular experience or situation that occurred while you were at Brooks that influenced the direction (path) you took as a professional?
Definitely, the turning point for me was my second year at Brooks. I enrolled in a class to learn After Effects, and that class changed the course of my entire career. I still use After Effects today.

How did the Brooks Faculty help you master the challenges of the craft?
I took my After Effects class with an amazing professor named Jürgen Gottchalk. He taught me everything I needed to know about After Effects, but also encouraged us and gave us great advice on how to navigate the waters of this industry. The professors also taught me quite a bit about individual branding and how important branding is for our industry.

What advice would you give someone considering attending Brooks?
The person that works the hardest can never say ‘I could have done more’. Brooks is a school that provides you with the tools and the knowledge, but you have to want it! The equipment, the faculty, the training, the friendly competition, and the manageable class sizes are what make Brooks a fantastic school to learn this craft.

What awards/accolades have you received?
Working with these clients: Lil Wayne / Payless / Blockbuster / Flo Rida / NBC / National Geographic / Disney / Kevin Hart / Yelawolf / Honda / AOL / AG Jeans / Juicy Couture / D&G / LEGO / PBR (Professional Bull Riding)
