MFA in Photography
Dr. Jo Ellen Eng earned a BA in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1971; an MA in Education from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1976; an MBA from California Lutheran University in 1987; an MA in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in 2001 and a PhD in Psychology from Fielding Institute in 2004.
She has been teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level at several universities for 35 years in the areas of business management, the psychology of mass communications, interdisciplinary aspects of communications, academic writing, psychological measurement, education, and counseling skills.
In addition, she has presented seminars and conducted workshops in psychographics, organization development, stress management, neuropsychological effects of anxiety, and stress management. She has had one exhibition of her watercolors and recently had poetry published in a psychology journal.
Dr. Eng has been teaching at Brooks Institute as full-time faculty since 1982. In addition to teaching, she is a licensed clinical psychologist. In her practice, she works with artists helping them move through the creative process and blocks.
