Anna Jensen earned her BA in Rhetoric at UC Berkeley in 1992, focusing on the rhetoric of historical discourse. She received her MA in Dramatic Art from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1997, where she wrote on the playwright August Strindberg’s dramas as interpreted by the film and stage director Ingmar Bergman.
Anna has taught as a full-time faculty member at Brooks Institute since 2002 in the field of the Humanities. She also works as a dramaturge (a researcher and writer for theater companies and playwrights).
Her dissertation research, also at UC Santa Barbara, considers how the Norse Saga material was instrumental to creating a national theater for Norway in the 19th century.
