Homework Help Assistant (Off-Campus Student Worker – FWS)

Location: Boys & Girls Club – West Ventura 

Hours: 3 – 12 hours per week, depending on student’s availability (see below shift requirements)


MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK STUDY. This is an off-campus job partnership through our federal work study program. The student worker would work off-site and be supervised by the Boys & Girls Club, but would be hired and paid through Brooks Institute’s payroll, reporting to Brooks Institute’s Director of Financial Aid, as the campus coordinator.


Required shift availability: Possible days of shifts could be Monday-Friday. Must be available to work 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm in order for a shift to be scheduled, for regularly scheduled homework help time. The Boys & Girls Club is able to accommodate a shift from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm or as much as 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm (could assist with setup and also continue to assist children who stay later and still need homework help). Actual scheduled hours will depend on the number of days per week that the employee is available (again, must be available at least 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm).


Required skill/experience and pay scale: Minimum 48 college credits earned (Brooks Institute will verify this before we send any candidate for consideration). Pay will be $10 per hour for those who have 48 credits earned, or $11 per hour for those who already have a BA degree earned.
