Movies are not just filmed. Increasingly they use elements that exist only as bits of code in a computer. The Visual Effects/Animation major addresses the new world of moviemaking. In our Animation programs, students can learn the basic foundations of the creation of live elements to create a composited visual effect as well as 2D and 3D animation. These are the essential skills for the Visual Effects Supervisor who has knowledge in all areas of visual effects but it is not necessarily a specialist in any one area of expertise.
