Your Chance to Own a Future Collectible
Brooks Student Prints Available for Viewing and Purchase at Upcoming Exhibit and Reception

Santa Barbara , CA – (October 11, 2006) -- Looking for a special holiday gift? A future collectible? A unique piece of photography by some of the great emerging visual artists? Now is your chance, as current Brooks' students – possibly tomorrow's photography ‘celebrities' -- put their work up for display and auction at the school's 3rd Annual Holiday Student Print Sale.

Selected images by students will be available for early viewing November 20 through December 2, 2006 . On Saturday, December 2, the event will culminate with a free reception and refreshments from 6-9 p.m., in the new Brooks Institute Cota Street campus and gallery (the third largest gallery space in Santa Barbara), at 27 E. Cota Street. Framed and unframed images in varying sizes, at varying prices, will be up for auction and sale and proceeds will support future photography and art projects. Cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted. Reservations are not required, and for more information about the event, please call 805-879-8604.

This year, the annual art auction is being promoted to the public with a poster designed by Brooks' student Erin Rea and featuring the photography of fellow student Kelley Siebenaler. The two, each of whom received awards, were selected as first-place winners in the Hope Image contest, sponsored by Brooks Institute to encourage the highest ideals in the visual arts.
