Entries were received from more than 33 countries. The Adobe Design Achievement Awards celebrate student achievement reflecting the powerful convergence of technology and the creative arts. The competition showcases individual and group projects created with industry-leading Adobe creative software and it honors the most talented and promising student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers, and computer artists from the world's top institutions of higher education. In a message to Graphic Design faculty member Barbara Obermeier, the panel stated, "Congratulations on inspiring the creativity, skill, and motivation your students exhibited!" Jake and Michelle have submitted a printed version of their entries and source files for the final round of judging in New York City. Any semifinal entries not selected in the final round will be forwarded to Adobe's regional offices for exhibits and further publicity, giving our students and school additional opportunities for recognition. Adobe will also publish online the names and school names for all semifinal entries received. Finalists will be named in August of 2008 at http://www.adobe.com/education/adaa/.
