BROOKS INSTITUTE TO HOST "SUPER SATURDAY" AN "INSIDE THE INDUSTRY" LOOK AT CREATIVE CAREER OPTIONS IN FILM, PHOTOGRAPHY AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

VENTURA, Calif. - (March 12, 2008) - Brooks Institute announced today it will host a special "Super Saturday" open house on April 19 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ventura Campus located at 5301N. Ventura Avenue. This free, half-day event is for individuals interested in learning more about the creative, artistic fields of photography, visual journalism, filmmaking and graphic design. The public can listen to educators, students, alumni and industry professionals share "inside the industry" insights on these exciting career options.

Attendees will be treated to a complimentary, catered lunch; a campus tour of professional grade sound stages, back lot, screening room, and millions of dollars worth of the industry's most current equipment; presentations on what it's like to work in the industry, what it takes to succeed; and they can view student and alumni photos, films and graphic designs. Staff also will be available to answer questions regarding housing, financial aid available for those who qualify and other student services related needs.

"We employ a learn-by-doing instructional model and use only industry-current equipment. Super Saturday is an opportunity to share with the community a comprehensive presentation of the capabilities and opportunities the Institute provides," explained Director of Marketing Renee Cooper.
