Brooks Institute Students Participate in Adobe’s Photoshop and Lightroom Workshop with Award-winning Photographer, Colin Finlay.

The program which took place on September 15 th and 16 th was part of a nationwide tour sponsored by Adobe to nurture photography education and the use of new technologies. Over the course of the two day workshop, students, educators and the public attended the seminar in which Finlay discussed his career as a photographer, including his commercial work and documentation of social issues such as war and famine. Finlay, one of the foremost documentary photographers in the world, is a four-time Picture of the Year Award winner

The second day of the workshop, Adobe's Senior Evangelist, Julieanne Kost, provided select Brooks students with an in-depth seminar on using Photoshop and Lightroom to support digital workflow. Students also had the opportunity to work in small groups with Finlay on workshop assignments. Students selected images from this assignment and they have been placed into a portfolio and uploaded to Adobe's site for sharing with the extended community.
