Faculty Bio
Sabine Sighicelli is a Producer/Director/Writer who has worked in the documentary field, both independent and commercial (National Geographic Television, AMC, Women Make Movies, Foundation for World Arts/UCLA Intercultural Center, Museum of Jewish History) for the past 10 years. Her award-winning documentary "The Passionate Life of a Father Painter" aired on PBS in 2000. A graduate from the photography and film programs of the Massachusetts College of Art and Loyola Marymount University/School of Film and Television, Sabine has continued to write, direct and produce while teaching all aspects of documentary filmmaking. She is currently in production on the documentary "Breaking in Two", sponsored by the distributor Women Make Movies. A short version of the film will be presented at the College Art Association conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center in February 2009.
