Rich Fortinberry has extensive producing and directing credits including national television commercials, television pilots, and corporate projects. He also worked at Creative Artists Agency.
Rich is currently a program chair and faculty member in the School of Film & Television at Brooks Institute. Rich teaches directing, producing and cinematography and is a portfolio mentor for advanced projects shot in every major format including 16 and 35mm film and various high definition video formats. Rich served as Chair of Strategic Planning for Brooks Institute from 2002-2006, is a member of the Brooks Institute Planning Council, and has been a member of the school’s Film & Video Production Advisory Board since 2001.
Prior to joining the faculty at Brooks, Rich taught directing and cinematography at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in three programs: the Graduate Writing Program, the Peter Stark Producing Program, and the undergraduate Production Program. While at USC he also acted as Assistant Lecturer to USC President Stephen Sample and USC Marshall School of Business Professor Warren Bennis for a course entitled "The Art and Adventure of Leadership."
Before beginning his film production career Rich worked as a management consultant for a variety of corporate clients including the General Electric Company. In addition to an M.F.A. in film production from USC he holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration.
