Bruce Burkhardt earned his BA Still Photography-Color and Technology from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1988. Bruce has also studied art and photography at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and at The American College of Switzerland in Leysin, Switzerland.
He is a noted photographer, educator and consultant to the photographic industry and also an internationally published freelance photographer. His images are marketed through the www.Corbis.com image agency. He works as a freelance photographer and also owns and manages a small greeting card company featuring his photography located in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Prior to coming to Brooks Institute, Bruce was a consultant to Tamron U.S.A., testing new lenses in the field as well as being a guest lecturer on various international expeditions as a photographic expert. Bruce also spent time lecturing in Kyoto, Japan. He has been active in many professional organizations, including P.P.A. and A.S.M.P. Specializing in location photography, he is equipped to work in most all environments.
Bruce is a full-time faculty member and lectures in the digital imaging department.
